100x100 Settings Files

A settings file is the most comprehensive way to apply customizations to PDF-XChange Editor or PDF-Tools.

Using a settings file means items can be included that cannot be applied easily by other methods.

Settings files are easy to create and import.

Settings files can be applied every time PDF-XChange Editor or PDF-Tools starts by customizing the shortcut to the application, as detailed here. (Note that this requires a custom command in Windows Explorer).

Settings files are not enforceable - users can deviate from the settings as desired.

If you want to create a settings files in either PDF-XChange Editor or PDF-Tools, then simply set up the application as desired in the GUI and use the Export Settings feature to export settings to file. This file can then be imported into any instance of the same program and will apply its settings and UI set up, as well as supporting files such as signatures and stamps.
