100x100 Registry Hacks

The settings of PDF-XChange Editor can be pushed via registry keys. Please note that this is not recommended for applying license keys as licenses should be encrypted with a machine-specific seed. Details on how to apply keys after installation are available here.

Per-user settings are stored in memory and written to the user's HKCU section of the registry when the application closes, as detailed here. This means that it is possible to push settings by applying registry keys. However, it is recommended to use Settings Files, Presets and Profiles or the PDF-XChange Active Directory Administrative Templates instead. Note that changes made by modifying the Windows registry are usually not enforced, and users are therefore free to change the settings via the application preferences in the GUI at any time.

If you want to identify the associated registry entry of a specific setting, then apply the setting in the application GUI, close the program (in order to force it to write the setting to the registry) then look for changes in:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tracker Software

Export the altered key and then push it as desired.
