Deployment Planning
PDF-Tools is available for installation via its own stand-alone product installer or as a component in the PDF-XChange PRO installer. Note that the virtual printer PDF-XChange Printer Lite is included when PDF-Tools is purchased and it will be installed by default when PDF-Tools is installed. It is important to consider the following factors before the installation of PDF-Tools:
•Are you going to install PDF-Tools via its own stand-alone product installer, or as a component of the PDF-XChange PRO installer? Further information on which installer you should use is available here.
•Do you want to customize which plugins are installed with the application?
•Do you want to change the name of the printer installed from the default name of "PDF-XChange Printer Lite"?
•Do you want the printer installed to be set as the default system printer?
•Do you want to change the language of the user interface from the default setting (US English)?
•Do you want to install the software updater?
