The Import Form action imports form data from a file. It contains the following customizable parameters:

Select an option in the Data file(s) destination dropdown menu to specify the location of the file that contains the form data to be imported:

Select In folder of input PDF(s) to specify a file that is located in the same folder as the source documents.

Select In custom folder to specify a custom folder, then click the text box or the ellipsis icon to select a folder.

Select In specific file to specify a specific file, then click the text box or the ellipsis icon to select a file.

Select the Show setup dialog while running box to launch the Import Form dialog box and customize settings each time this action is used. Clear this box to disable the Import Form dialog box from opening each time the action is used, which is useful when the same settings are used consistently.

Please note that the field names of forms must match in order for form data to be imported. For example, if there are three forms in the file from which data is imported that have the field names 'Text1', 'Text2' and 'Text3' respectively, then the target document must contain forms with the same field names in order for form data to import.

Additionally, the file format of the files that contain the imported form data must be (*.fdf), (*.xfdf) or (*.csv). The Export Form Data tool can be used to export form data from documents to these formats.
